From our fields to your table

Okra, garlic and Kagawa hontaka chili grown in the mild Seto Inland Sea climate and plenty of sun — each shipped morning-fresh in its own season.

Coming back in season

We grow these too — just not orderable right now. Here's what to watch for later in the year.

Who we are

A small farm, marked by two frogs

SAKAVEGE — Sakashita Farm — got started in 2021 in Sanuki City, Kagawa. The two frogs on our logo are the SAKAVEGE mascots watching over the field. We grow okra, garlic and Kagawa hontaka chili, each in its own season, using as few pesticides as possible — harvesting in the cool morning hours and shipping everything the same day.

How it works

Harvested at dawn, at your door next morning

  1. Picked at first light

We head to the field at daybreak and hand-pick everything at its crispest.

  2. Packed the same day

Soil and outer leaves stay on — old farm wisdom for keeping freshness in.

  3. Chilled courier, next morning

Boxes leave by refrigerated delivery the morning after harvest, field scent included.

From our customers

Letters from the table

  • I've been using the okra in all kinds of dishes. Looking forward to ordering again.

    Megurin

  • My first order — the okra was so tender. I shared some with a friend and they loved it too.

    Mikan

  • Ordered the 1kg bulk pack and it was even more tender than I expected. Great for freezing a batch for later.
